I have a minimum of $400 a session, with a rate of $200 an hour. If you are looking to stay within a certain budget range for a piece or per session, I am happy to work that within reason.
Should I tip?
In the tattoo industry as a whole, yes. Tips are always welcome. For me, they are greatly appreciated, but never expected.
What forms of payment do you take?
I take card or cash. No other money transferring platforms are accepted.
Do I need to put down a deposit? What if I change my mind?
All tattoos require a $100 deposit, depending on the design and size of the tattoo. No appointment will be set without a deposit. Deposits are non refundable. If you have put down a deposit and decide not to get a tattoo from me, you will lose the deposit. Changing your mind on a design after your consult and appointment are set will result in a lost deposit (small changes or additions, within reason, will not result in lost deposit.) Not showing up for your appointment, arriving 15 minutes or more after appointment time, and canceling or rescheduling without a 48 hour notice will forfeit your deposit. Please let me know if an emergency arises and I will work with you.
How do I make an appointment?
Email lanabosaktattoo@gmail.com
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Email lanabosaktattoo@gmail.com to notify me, or call the shop. Please give as much notice as possible if you are not able to make your appointment. Cancelations and rescheduling must be done at least 48 hours in advance, or you will forfeit your deposit. Emergencies will be taken into consideration. I try to have reschedule days for such situations, but I cannot guarantee I will be able to get you in before the next round of booking. 2 reschedules of an appointment will result in a lost deposit and will not be rebooked until a second deposit is placed.
Do you do coverups? Reworks? Finishing other artists tattoos?
Any projects that are not a new tattoo will be considered on a case by case basis. Please contact me directly lanabosaktattoo@gmail.com with pictures of the existing tattoo, what you are hoping to do with it. I do love bringing life to an old tattoo!
Are there any tattoos you won’t do?
Any tattoo involving aspects of a culture that is not your own will not be accepted. Cultural appropriation has been an issue in the tattoo industry (...and everywhere else) and I actively strive to educate myself to avoid it. I ask that my choice is respected, as this selection is determined by the honor system. Tattoos that harbor hate or discrimination will also not be accepted. Tattoos on hands, necks, and faces will be decided on a case by case basis. I reserve the right to turn away any tattoo that I feel does not fit with my personal or professional morals and values.
How do I prepare for my tattoo? What should I bring?
Be sure to get a good nights rest before your tattoo. Stay hydrated, and eat a decent meal or snack before your appointment. Do not drink alcohol the night before or right before your tattoo. Feel free to bring candy or other snacks, they can really help when you are midway through a tattoo and are feeling wore out. Any distractions you feel will help you during the tattoo are fine, such as headphones, books, etc. As long as you can sit still while doing it, thats ok. Don’t feel like you need to talk the entire time, or at all. As a tattoo artist, I am happy to chat or just work, its up to you.
Can I bring my friends?
Due to the pandemic, we are not allowing guests.
Do you do touch ups?
I do one free touch up with every tattoo as long as you notify me of the need within 6 months of the tattoo appointment. Please email me directly lanabosaktattoo@gmail.com to schedule.
What do I do for aftercare?
I will go over all the details of how to care for your new tattoo at your appointment. The simplified version is: keep it clean, keep it lightly moisturized. Any questions about healing can be sent directly to lanabosaktattoo@gmail.com
Do you do walk-ins?
No, but I occasionally post cancelation openings on my instagram.
...how do I pronounce your name?
LAN-NA, I tell people to think of Atlanta, Georgia. Then it usually comes out right.
